This Norwegian flag is perfect for taking to the soccer or flying on Constitution Day, the 17th of May.
Norway was subject to Denmark from 1397 to 1814, after which control passed to Sweden. As such their flags share in some design characteristics, namely the off-centre Scandinavian cross. A blue cross was added over the white Danish cross on a red background to reference the great revolutionary colours adopted by both France and the United States during the late 19th Century of Red, white and blue.
